I have been influenced by the renaissance artist Michelangelo and his striking stature of God, in the Sistine Chapel. I used acrylics and mediums with several washes to create the movement of dripping vibrant colour. The strong red and yellow tones represent the glory of God and his love for us; this makes a dramatic back drop to the Father. There is a surreal quality as the background colour emerges through the body of God.
