"Jesus breaks our chains"
I had the privilege to paint at Spirit Life church, Burleigh on Easter Sunday. God gave me a vision that was related to the story in scripture of the disciples in the boat during a storm. They see Jesus standing on the water, Peter calls out to Jesus and Jesus says “Come”. Peter had faith to step out but when he saw his circumstances he was filled with fear, chains of fear. He starts to sink but Jesus reaches down and breaks his chains, his fear and saves him.
When the old chains are broken, new life begins, the peace lilies represent purity and peace. The drips are the living water enriching and nourishing our new freedom. The gentle drop in the water swells out and calms our storm.
Matt. 14: 27-31
But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
