David

This painting was influenced by the Renaissance period of Michelangelo’s sculptures, one being David. I wanted to portray the intensity of David’s fierce concentration using complimentary colors to bring out the detail of the line work in the sculpture. I used acrylics and mediums to produce a muted dripping shimmering iridescent gold representing royalty.
